Review: Bedfellows Haus Mates Cannabis beer (non-alcoholic)

Several months ago I reviewed a cannabis-based non-alcoholic beer for the first time ever, Mollo 5. The review has taken over the website to become one of the most popular reviews I've ever done. Today's review is Bedfellows' Haus Mates by Truss Beverages, a collaboration between HEXO and Molson Coors Beverage Company

Haus Mates is a Helles-inspired beverage brewed with Mt Hood and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops. 7.5mg THC & 2.5mg CBD.

Appearance: Pours a very hazy orange body with a bit of a hazy IPA vibe to it. Light amount of snow white head on top that diminishes rather quickly, leaving behind a good amount of lacing on the glass.

Aroma: Floral and hop forward for sure - hefty on the floral presence, a tad nutty, slightly sweet, grassy and a bit grainy as well. Slight aroma of burning wood at the very end.

Taste: For a Helles-inspired beverage, this is pretty aggressive as the hops are pretty floral and bitter to begin with, as well as there is a bit of a lemony/tropical citrus presence in there somewhere. The floral/bitterness of the cannabis itself comes out once in a while, leaving behind a bit of a dank bitterness on the palate. Pretty easy to drink and fairly crushable.

Overall Thoughts: This cannabis-based NA beer reminds me of something but I can't exactly remember what it is. At $6.50 per 341mL bottle, it's incredibly pricey but that's to be expected with any beverage with THC in it, but as I stated in my review of Mollo 5, I appreciate that the classic Stubby bottle is being used for the beverage.
