Review: Mill Street Tankhouse Ale

Review: Mill Street Tankhouse Ale by Cody La Bière
I've had Mill St Brewery's Tankhouse Ale approximately 6 times since it first came to Manitoba back in 2006, but never really reviewed it. Now it's that time.

Appearance: Love their bottles, painted label, more original bottle than the usual Canadian standard longknecks. Pours a nut-brown colour, with a bit of a light caramel foam.

Aroma: Slightly sweet, a bit malty, and minimal hops. Pretty average brown ale.

Taste: Slightly bitter compared to most dark ales, but all I really notice is the bitterness and a bit of a roasted maltiness.

Overall thoughts: I'm bored. This beer's pretty "meh" across the board. If I want a dark ale, this wouldn't be it. Next time I get Mill St, it will be their Coffee Porter. It was just over $2.00 for a 341mL bottle, with 5.2% ABV. Upside is that I got 1 Air Mile with the purchase.
