Review: Postmark Batch N. 05 New England IPA

Another quick review to get through isolation! Today's review is Postmark Brewing's Batch N. 05 New England IPA.

From the label: "A hazy IPA, straw gold in appearance with a juicy mouthfeel. Generously dry-hopped with Mandarin Bavaria for a well rounded citrus aroma and flavour." 6.0% ABV

Appearance: Hazy golden-orange with a light amount of sediment floating around in the beer. The beer has a nice off-white head to it. The head diminishes gradually, with a layered white lacing on the side of the glass.

Aroma: This is quite a light NEIPA with a mildly sweet with notes of orange peel, lemon and a very faint c. This is a tad yeasty and hint of breadiness and a light floral hop presence at the very end. Very light on the nose.

Taste: Quite a yeasty New England IPA with light tropical notes. Notes of orange peel, mango and lemon. Sweet notes of caramel, floral and slightly bitter hop presence. Aftertaste is mostly a bit of a bready yeastiness at the end.

Overall Thoughts: Lighter than I'd like for a NEIPA, I want full on juice.. this is just light and slightly sweet and slightly citrusy. Easy to drink and easy to drink if patios ever re-open one day.
