Review: Messorem x Bas Canada Crème de la Crème XTRM Turbo DIPA

Today's sampling comes from mon ami Éric! This is a collab between Messorem Bracitorium (Montréal) and Brasserie du Bas Canada (Gatineau). The beer is Crème de la Crème XTRM Turbo DIPA brewed with Peacharine, Waimea, Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Citra Hyperboost hops. 8% ABV

The label immediately reminds me of a Superflux beer that has a cow on it that parodies a popular milk brand in Western Canada that has a facility in my own town.

Appearance: Pours a murky, opaque, a creamy orangesicle kind of appearance to it. Moderate bright white head on top that initially is quite thick and frothy but quickly diminishes to a light amount of bubbles on the glass and on top of the beer.

Aroma: Decently sweet, moderately creamy, oaty, notes of grapefruit, moderate orange notes, a bit of alfalfa, melon. 

Taste: Quite a creamy DIPA, which I was expecting even before I tried this beer. It's quite sweet and tropical. Pineapple, grapefruit, orange, lemon, a LOT of oats, and a moderate bitterness that tingles the back of the mouth.. a slight hint of pine and a bit of alfalfa I'm thinking?

Overall Thoughts: Very creamy, quite sweet DIPA, lots of tropical notes. A very solid collab between two of Quebec's best breweries!
