Review: Junkyard Playtime is Over NEIPA with Strata, Galaxy and Nelson

Thanks to my friend Amanda for sending this my way! I've been meaning to visit Junkyard Brewing in Moorhead, MN for around five years now but time flies and here we are.. I still haven't!

Today's sampling is Junkyard's Playtime is Over NEIPA, brewed with Strata, Galaxy and Nelson hops.
From the can: Corey looked with pride at the cart he had built from parts he found at a junk yard. With a tuned-up engine and a new set of tires, it looked just like a dream. Elizabeth, sweet sixteen and leader of the cheering squad, looked with admiration at the young man. However, Corey now had eyes only for his entry in the race..  6.8% ABV

Appearance: Hazy yellowish body with a slight orange hue to it. Good amount of snow white head on top that diminishes pretty quickly to leave behind a nice lacing on the glass, a slight noticeable carbonation coming from the beer itself but it's so thicc that it's tough to tell.

Aroma: Sweet, creamy, juicy and very welcoming. There's notes of pineapple, orange, grapefruit and lemon. A slight pepper spice pops out here and there, while there's a good deal of creaminess here and there, so it's got kind of a creamsicle vibe to it.

Taste: Satisfying NEIPA with a nice tropical presence that also has a good leafiness to it. This should have been sampled as soon as I got it in July but I'm so far behind in reviews that I'm scared to see how some of  my future ones are going to turn out. Mildly vegetal but pretty much pineapple, lemon, orange. Lots of yeastiness.

Overall Thoughts: Smooooooooooth. It's also a surprise that this is my first ever Junkyard Brewing review! Now I need a ND/MN road trip... but with winter coming.. probably won't happen until the spring.
