Review: Phantom No: 01 (Again) IPA

Another beer picked up at Quality Beer Store! Today's review is Phantom Beer's No: 01 (Again) IPA.

The original No: 01 IPA is described on their website: "Our first IPA features a generous addition of aromatic hops giving this hazy brew massive tropical notes right upfront. Light-bodied and very refreshing, it finishes off crisp with a slight, lingering bitterness."
7.0% ABV

Appearance: No: 01 (Again) pours a cloudy orange body with a thick amount of off-white/beige head to begin with that diminishes to a light amount of foam with a nice layered lacing on the glass.

Aroma: Caramel malt sweetness with a bit of bubble gum, lemon citrus, a bit of a leafy hop presence, a hint of pepper, hint of oaty cereal presence and a decent amount of pineapple/tropical notes to it.

Taste: The first thing I get from the beer is a caramel malt sweetness again. Notes of pineapple, lemon, oats, a bit of booziness, a floral/herbal hop presence all pop out in this beer. Tad creamy mouthfeel, bitter and tad oaty aftertaste.

Overall Thoughts: Not bad IPA with a tropical and oat presence to it, hazy, sweet, fairly smooth yet has a floral/herbal hop presence to it.
