Photos: Brasserie Dunham's 1st annual Foudres Unis

I was pretty busy with work this spring/summer so I didn't have a chance to do my annual pilgrimage down to Montreal for Mondial de la bière this year.. mainly because it was during Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix week, so hotel rooms were outrageously expensive. So, I decided to pick an arbitrary week to just go out and do something just to get out of Manitoba for a bit. I decided on the days of August 8 to 13th, mainly because I was thinking that Terry Fox Day was a stat holiday in Manitoba.. well, it's not, otherwise I would've left a few days earlier and stayed for a whole week.

When I announced on Facebook that I was in town during those days, many thought I was in town specifically for Brasserie Dunham's Foudres Unis, an event that unites a selection of some of the best breweries in the world under one roof. There were breweries from all over Canada from as close by as well.. Brasserie Dunham to Ontario, Alberta and BC, as well as breweries around the world such as Hill Farmstead, Cantillon, The Bruery and Brew By Numbers.

I met up with some old friends while at the event, met a few new friends and had an absolute blast. It turns out the second edition won't be taking place until 2020, so I guess it won't be my new annual tradition. Here's a large selection of photos I took while at the event.
