From the label: Say hello to our latest creation, the Fruit Loop Sour! This beer is a refreshing and tart brew that is sure to excite your taste buds. We've combined the unique flavours of hibiscus and orange to create a sour beer that is both colourful and delicious. The pink hue of this beer is reminiscent of the iconic fruity O's cereal, and its sourness is perfectly balanced with the subtle sweetness of the orange and the floral notes of hibiscus. With its playful name and distinctive taste, the Fruit Loop Sour is a must try beer for anyone looking for a fun and flavourful experience. 4.5% ABV
Appearance: It's definitely got a pink, almost rosé colour to it so it almost looks more like a wine than a beer once the head diminishes. The head itself is moderate, fizzy and light pink but of course diminishes as fast as a soda would.
Aroma: Tart and fruity. There's a sharpness that tingles the nostrils a bit, notes of orange, raspberry and a moderate tart yet floral presence to it from the hibiscus.
Taste: The malt used seems to pop up first giving a bit of a graininess to it. Following that, there's a sharp tartness to it that has a bit of a sour raspberry sort of vibe to it, there's some orange in there, lime, and a bit of a herbal/tartness from the hibiscus that I can't really describe.
Overall Thoughts: No problem with drinking this. I was hoping it to be mildly sweeter and possibly a bit more of a cereal kind of presence to it (oats?) but it's not bad.. which is pretty good for someone who doesn't care for Sours at all.
