Review: One Great City Easy-Peasy Pink Lemonade Sour

One Great City Easy Peasy Pink Lemonade SourRunning a website like BeerCrank.ca is hard when it's one person - I want to try out as much as I can but it's hard, expensive and just not good for one's health. Winnipeg's One Great City Brewing has gone through a massive re-brand in the past year or so but I haven't been able to keep up - some of their old core seems to still exist, but a lot of re-branding as well.

I reviewed OGC's Mum's Root Beer last year and it was alright, so today I'm checking out their Easy-Peasy Pink Lemonade. By the time you may be reading this review, Easy Peasy may be long gone as this was already written a few months back. (Posting this July 2025)

Appearance: The pink lemonade pours a bright pinkish-reddish opaque body with a raspberry juice kind of vibe to it. The head on top starts out fairly thick and off-white just to diminish to nothing and go nowhere as the beer is sampled.

Aroma: I think this is a lemonade that you'll like - it's a sweet, tart lemonade with lots of lemon, bit of guava, raspberry? Quite sweet and welcoming.. but I've also had this in the fridge for a few months now. No noticeable graininess so I'd definitely recommend this against our friend Mike and his Hard Lemonade brand!

Taste: Sweet and tart flavours are what I get up front - raspberry juice followed by notes of lemon, a tad bit of graininess from the malts used but very smooth, easy to drink. It's pretty much fruit, a bit of lactose to give it a creaminess and a crisp grain profile at the end.

Overall Thoughts: Very sweet and a welcoming beverage, though things may have changed with the beverage since I picked this one up. This malt-barley based Pink Lemonade can definitely compete against all the vodka based ones out there, especially compared to that guy Mike.
