Review: Nonsuch Hazy IPA

Nonsuch Hazy IPABack in January 2025 there was a beer festival in Brandon for Manitoba Ag Days and Brasserie Nonsuch was one of the breweries participating - it's awesome anytime breweries from the perimeter come outside for beer events. Matthew at Nonsuch was telling me about a new hazy IPA they were coming out with and gave me a date to come out to taste test it.. but of course I wasn't able to go to the sampling to give my word. Fast forward to June (2025 if you're in the future). I sampled the beer at the Clear Lake Beer Festival - I found it to be a really intriguing Hazyish IPA that I need to check out once it makes its way to Brandon.  Well, twoish weeks later it's now time. I don't have a write up about the beer so I don't really know what to expect except from my experience at the Clear Lake Beer Fest. Liquor Marts website says it has aroma notes of peach and pineapple with flavour notes of peach and citrus. 6.5% ABV

Appearance: Before I say anything, the can label looks absolutely beautiful but I feel like it reminds me too much of another brewery's vibe.. but that may just be me. The beer itself has a very thick orange-peach body, almost like a frozen fruity ice pop vibe. There's also a moderate amount of snow white head on top that doesn't really do much or go anywhere.

Aroma: Peach! Pineapple! Is this an IPA or is this an extension of Brasserie Nonsuch's Radlers/Sours? I've sampled this a few times now and this is incredibly sweet-forward and tropical for this era of IPAs. There's a tad creaminess to it but it's a very tropical-forward Hazy IPA that compliments their fruitier beers.

Taste: This is ridiculously smooth. Like as I said in the aroma.. is this supposed to be an IPA or what? The tropical fruit notes give it more of a Radler/Sour vibe that I'm used to from Nonsuch lately, but there's also a huge sampling of leafy hops, moderate amount of pine. Approachable but a bit aggressive to the palate when you're taking a big sampling of it.
