Ideas?

I’ve been writing about beer for a better part of a decade (closer to 2 decades now) - Honestly, I actually quit two years ago, I have no passion about writing about beer anymore and most of the anonymous feedback/comments I got were telling me about how I suck at life and I don’t know anything about beer (well, I’m not a brewer nor have a certification in anything, so that’s fair). All the actual emails I ever got were from companies who don’t even actually read this blog - trying to get me to talk about crypto, gambling, cannabis or something I would just never ever write about - oh and the world’s largest brewery conglomerate based in Belgium wanting to use one of my photos but not give any credit for it.

All I wanted in life was to feel like I belonged, writing exciting beer reviews of stuff I raved about.. or may not enjoy, but at least give you my (mostly) unbiased impressions on it.

When my local newspaper column ended that was dedicated about beer, breweries stopped emailing me, and it hurt - I thought they were interested about my voice - when in reality it was because it was in “actual media”. Since then, I constantly spend my minimal income on writing about beer that I hope people will like - with nobody telling me what they think. I decided to quit two years ago unofficially, but everything that you’ve seen I write recently is only due to there being a slight burst in excitement.. just barely.

This domain is registered until the end of the year, I’ll probably shut it down. But really, I want your comments and suggestions. I don’t enjoy it at all, but the one person a year who tells me they read my stuff somehow keeps me afloat.. making me giddy enough to justify it.

What would you like to read about? All I want is constructive feedback, is it time for me to just pull the plug? I know there’s people who read this site religiously but when I don’t know what people want to read, how can I focus to get better?
