Another review time! Today's sampling is Brasserie du Bas Canada's Dune Pale Ale. It's a Pale Ale well hopped with Mosaic, Vic Secret, Galaxy and Motueka hops. 5.5% ABVAppearance: Opaque and kind of orange-coloured - yellowish-orange, really. Good amount of head to start it off with, thick with a bright white hue to it. The head diminishes a good deal to leave behind just a bit of film on top of the beer.
Aroma: Full on tropical goodness - notes of orange, papaya, pineapple and lemon. There's a bit of a creaminess to it, a slight oatiness as well. Overall, a well welcoming Pale Ale so far... and I haven't even taken a sip yet.
Taste: A tad sharp up front, followed by a sweet tropical presence of orange, papaya, pineapple and lemon again. A hefty amount of yeastiness, a bit doughy, and a bit of leafy hop presence at the end. Tad bitter aftertaste that lingers for a few seconds.
Overall Thoughts: Solid Pale Ale. Sweet, tropical, lots of fruitiness. A good one of course!
