Christmas is one of my most favourite times of the year, not for the gift giving or the food, but for the seasonal beer. Several breweries ship special products just for this one time of the year.
Some breweries make special gift packs with several varieties of their beers, followed with a beer glass (or toque, or tshirt or beer koozie). Other breweries make high % beer to help you get over the winter blues. In this case, Muskoka makes a Double Chocolate Cranberry Stout. This year, they re-branded it as the "Winter Beard", with an illustration of a man with a very large beard. In fact, it reminds me of my landlord in late winter.
Muskoka's Winter Beard stout is possibly one of the best winter-themed beers on the market today. Last year when I first tried this stout, I was blown away by how awesome it was. (Review of last year's edition)
I'm looking forward to having this as part of a Christmas dessert, as in my opinion, this may be the best Christmas dessert I've ever had.
